WA Labor to deliver more than $15 million for Halls Creek

  • $3.5 million for Halls Creek Town Development
  • $10 million for a new classroom in Halls Creek District High School
  • $1.5 million to Olabud Doogethu Halls Creek Justice Reinvestment Project

A re-elected McGowan Labor Government will deliver a major boost for the Halls Creek community, with a $15 million pledge for a range of local projects.

As part of WA Labor’s $355 million job-creating schools package, Halls Creek District High School will receive $10 million for new general classroom blocks and a new Food and Textiles classroom.

Halls Creek DHS will also receive support through the McGowan Labor Government’s commitment towards science in all public schools, with a $60,000 allocation for science laboratories or resources.

A re-elected McGowan Labor Government will continue to invest into Stage 2 of the Olabud Doogethu Halls Creek Justice Reinvestment Project, with a $1.5 million boost to support therapeutic, diversionary options in pre-sentence orders, culturally appropriate drug and alcohol services and mentoring on country.

WA Labor has also committed $3.5 million for the Halls Creek Town Development, enhancing the urban environment with a splash park, pedestrian crossing points, community parkland spaces, street furniture, local art, trees, and shade structures.
